Hello! I just came across your site through Jo's blog, which I discoverd through Hope (whom I found a few weeks ago through Love Bomb). I have to say it's an amazing, amazing thing you're all doing. I've joined as a follower.I don't know what the view is like from Edinburgh but here in Canada (I'm on the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario) much is made of body image, specifically obesity. There is so much talk of people being overweight but things like anorexia nervosa, bulimia etc. barely make a ripple. Why? There are enough people out there who feel isolated, scared and misunderstood as it is, and not talking about it only makes things worse.I would love the opportunity to feature a post about Minding Me on my blog. Also I'd be thrilled if someone would be willing to contribute a post or two, specifically about recovery. The vast majority of my readers/blogging friends are young women in their twenties, some of whom have told me of their ED's. I featured a post written by one of them here: http://life-in-quotations.blogspot.ca/2010/10/greater-understanding-anorexia.htmlalso one on self-harm: http://life-in-quotations.blogspot.ca/2010/05/self-harm-greater-understanding.htmlIt's time to address it again. These issues are far more prevalent than most people think and need all the exposure they can get. If you're interested in collaborating please drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
